The mission of the American Baptist Theological Center is to serve the church of Jesus Christ through facilitating educational oppotunities, encouragement, and nurture of persons mainly of the American Baptist Churches of Los Angeles (ABCLA), American Baptist Congregations of the South and Hawaii (ABCOSH) and  Baptist of other traditions, preparing for church leadership within the diverse ministries of the American Baptist Churches in the USA.

The vision is to help persons fulfill their call to ministry.

The values: Evangelical faith and perspective, Baptist doctrine of the church, and quality theological education to develop quality church leaders.
